RESERVE
CABERNET SAUVIGNON
100% Cabernet
Aged in 100% French Oak,
100% new, 20 months
The 2023 vintage continues to deliver. With this release of The Reserve, we reached a meaningful milestone for our winery: our first perfect wine. From the outset, Thomas recognized something special in these hand-selected barrels of Tench Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon. His deep familiarity with the vineyard, paired with his disciplined hand in the cellar, delivered a 100-point wine of precision and power.
“A tiny selection of top barrels from this site, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard Reserve shows incredible cassis, graphite, crushed stone, iron, and Asian spices among its nuances, and this absolutely magical effort is full-bodied on the palate, with a deep, layered mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and a great, great finish. It's pure gold in world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. Hide bottles for 4-5 years, count yourself lucky, and enjoy over the following two decades. There are 279 cases produced. Drink 2029-2049.“

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from one of the newest and most highly regarded vineyard sites in Napa is the perfect addition to our small wine family. Located adjacent to Pritchard Hill, high above the valley floor at 1,800-foot elevation, the fruit from Phelan Ranch Vineyard is structured and complex. Our first mountain fruit ever, the vintage offers a plush, singular expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, with both elegance and power.
“Coming from a gorgeous site high up on the eastern side of the valley, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Phelan Ranch sports a deep ruby/purple hue as well as red and black fruits intermixed with leather, dried flowers, spicy nuances, and some obvious minerality. Medium to full-bodied, with a pure, layered, seamless mouthfeel, beautiful balance, and a great finish, drink bottles any time over the coming 15-20 years. There are 118 cases produced. Drink 2028-2048.”

TENCH VINEYARD
CABERNET SAUVIGNON
100% Cabernet
Aged in 100% French Oak,
80% new, 20 months
Our best Tench Vineyard Cabernet to date, we are thrilled with this new release.
“Made by Thomas Rivers Brown, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard shows classic Tench power in its black fruits, crushed stone, iron, leather, and Asian spices. These carry to a sensationally concentrated, layered, complex 2023 that has beautiful balance, ample mid-palate depth, and a blockbuster of a finish. The tannins here are just about perfect and this is hard to resist, yet it deserves 3-4 years of bottle age and will see its 20th birthday in fine form. It will probably merit a triple-digit score in a decade. There are 375 cases produced. Drink 2028-2043."

GENERATIONS
PINOT NOIR
Our 2024 Silver Eagle “Generations Pinot Noir” showcases winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown’s non-interventionist style, highlighting the high-toned red fruit, vibrant minerality, and fine-grained texture which is a hallmark of the vineyard. The growing season of 2024 was classic with ample rain in the Winter, relatively stable heat in the Summer, and long hang time in the Fall, thanks to the ample sunshine and cool nature of the Occidental vineyard site. Fermentation included 30% whole cluster adding to excellent color and depth.
“…a reflective ruby/red color…initially shy in the glass with aromas of blood orange, pomegranate, sweet clove and allspice. Supple and medium-bodied, it has refreshing acidity, refined tannins, and finessed length, with savory spice wrapping around the finish beautifully.”

SAUVIGNON BLANC
YOUNTVILLE
The 2025 growing season at Gamble Vineyard in Yountville started with a wet winter giving the vines ample soil moisture. Spring was cool with a delayed bud break, allowing the clusters to develop excellent acidity and bright flavors. Summer was mostly mild, allowing for long verasion and a later harvest after a welcome heat spike in August. Yields were slightly above average, while the fruist showed the signature minerality from Tom Gamble’s alluvial and sandy loam soils in the Riverbound block.
A hallmark of our Sauvignon Blanc is the citrus, green melon, white florals and wet stone followed by similar flavors in its long, aromatic finish. Aged in 20% neutral French oak, the palate is medium to full, with a round, lush mouthfeel punctuated by citrus notes.
